Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® Orthosis

Product Overview

The Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® System has been successful in treating all curve types: lumbar, thoracic, double major, and thoracolumbar.

The Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® Orthosis is an effective nighttime brace for treatment of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS). This orthosis is suited for neurologically involved patients, idiopathic adolescents and juvenile scoliosis patients as well as obese patients. Because of the nocturnal design, it is able to address an apex of T6, which is higher than can be treated by a full-time scoliosis orthosis. Apices above T6 can be treated with a neck extension attached to the orthosis.

The Providence® brace is designed to be worn at nighttime with the patient supine.

Current x-rays are necessary to confirm and provide a positive outcome. Because of the nocturnal use of the orthosis, the curves can be treated more aggressively and better patient compliance is achieved. A cast or scan of a patient is required if the patient is unable to be measured using the Providence board or if a board is not available.

The Providence® brace has demonstrated greater compliance rates in scoliosis bracing.

Spinal Technology, Inc. is the exclusive manufacturer of the Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® Orthosis.

SCT 3D Full-Time Scoliosis Brace

Product Overview

Our SCT 3D Full-Time Scoliosis Orthosis is designed using CAD/CAM technology. This orthosis provides a brace design that corrects the spine based on three body planes, the Sagittal, Coronal and Transverse (SCT) and provides a precise combination of lateral and rotational forces that move the spine into a corrected position.

This design allows for lateral shift of the curves to midline and provides relief/void areas on opposing sides of the scoliosis curve from both rotational and lateral forces.

Using CAD/CAM technology allows for precise fabrication to maximize spinal correction that can be measured to the exact millimeter.

Spinal Indications

  • Idiopathic Scoliosis
  • Lumbar Curves
  • Thoracic Curves
  • Double Major Curves
  • Thoracolumbar Curves

Features

  • Computer enhanced modification via CAD/CAM technology.
  • Each design is customized to patient’s shape and curve pattern.
  • Provides the ability to control the angles of the Sagittal plane regarding lumbar lordosis.
  • Two relief window sizes available.

SCT 3D Chêneau (Style) Scoliosis Brace

Product Overview

The SCT 3D Chêneau (Style) brace is a corrective TLSO uniquely constructed to bring the body and spine into the best possible postural and morphological 3D corrected alignment by using a combination of forces applied to the body surface by specifically designed pads, facilitated by expansion or relief spaces.

Expansion areas are also essential for tissue migration, growth, and breathing movements. The brace is open in front and can be considered rigid and dynamic at the same time.

All the pads are located, shaped, and oriented in a highly specific manner to push on selected regions of the trunk to bring the patient into the best possible 3D correction, while the remaining areas are not touched by the brace (i.e., areas of expansion or relief spaces). The corrective reaction of the body depends on the level, shape, and orientation of the pads.

Based on the patients X-rays, the observed spinal curve pattern determines the specific design of the pads and expansion spaces.

The SCT 3D Chêneau (Style) brace is a 3D corrective orthosis able to provide excellent in-brace correction as well as radiological and cosmetic end results.

Spinal Indications

  • Idiopathic Scoliosis
  • Lumbar Curves
  • Thoracic Curves
  • Double Major Curves
  • Thoracolumbar Curves

Features

  • Computer enhanced modification via CAD/CAM technology.
  • Each design is customized to patient’s shape and curve pattern.
  • Void/Relief options.
  • Unlined orthosis.

SCT 3D Wilmington (Style) Scoliosis Brace

Product Overview

The SCT 3D Wilmington (style) brace is a custom TLSO that is designed using CAD/CAM technology. This orthosis provides a 3D brace design that corrects the spine based on three body planes, the Sagittal, Coronal and Transverse (SCT) and provides a precise combination of lateral and rotational forces that move the spine into a corrected position. This orthosis provides passive correction of scoliosis curve with apices at or below T7.

This brace design maintains corrective forces at the curve apices, the iliac crests, greater trochanters, and symphysis pubis. Using CAD/CAM technology allows for precise fabrication to maximize spinal correction that can be measured to the exact millimeter.

Spinal Indications

  • Idiopathic Scoliosis
  • Lumbar Curves
  • Thoracic Curves
  • Double Major Curves
  • Thoracolumbar Curves

Features

  • Provides the ability to control the angles of the sagittal plane regarding lumbar lordosis and thoracic kyphosis.
  • Treat apices at or below T7.
  • Computer enhanced modification via CAD/CAM technology.
  • Each design is customized to patient’s shape and curve pattern.

Kyphosis Brace

Product Overview

In a healthy spine, its natural curve should be at an angle around 20-45 degrees. Those who have kyphosis, however, their abnormal curvature in their spine sits at an angle of over 50 degrees.

Our Kyphosis orthosis is low profile with a custom sternal shield attached. The posterior is reinforced and allows for corrective force at the apex of kyphosis. This brace is designed to help correct and stabilize this condition.

Spinal Indications

  • Scheuermann’s Kyphosis
  • Mild Structural Kyphosis
  • Postural Stabilization
  • Kyphoscoliosis

Features

  • Anterior Milwaukee bar with sternal shield allows for height adjustment and extension force.
  • Easily concealed under clothing.
  • Low profile design increases compliance.
  • Posterior is reinforced to allow corrective force at apex of kyphosis.
